Cross Stitch Books & Patterns

Dating back to the middle ages, Cross Stitch is one of the oldest forms of embroidery. While today, it is most often a hobby and a way to relax, in earlier times it was a way for young girls to learn the alphabet and numbers; even memorize scripture. The cost of linen was very expensive, so every piece of cloth was used leading to the design of many of our favorite Samplers.
